My Forget Me Not Sampler is finished and I will be taking more photos and printing charts on Monday. Charted for DMC but chart is available with my over dyed floss as shown in the photo or just the chart alone.
I need to frame this.....It's going to take a lot of stretching as ironing wouldn't take out the creases....it was mailed back to me in a flat envelope and folded. You can imagine how flat the envelope was smashed by the time I got it. These crease lines are so hard to remove when you can't use steam on over dyed floss...that's why I always mail in a small box. Wish me luck on this one.
I am working on the sampler pattern with the delicate leaf border...I am pleased with how it is coming along. I have to decide on a verse to use...I have quite a few verses I have found over the years and I am always looking for others. Do you have a unique verse you would like see on a pattern? I would love to see any you might have.
I need to take a break and go bake a birthday cake for my son who will be 43 tomorrow....where did the time go! My son is the joy in my life....and a Mother couldn't ask for a more caring and loving son. We are the best of friends....I love to spend time with him and his sons....all great guys if I may say so and I am so lucky to have them. Am I proud or what?!!
Thanks for stopping by....the chocolate cake is calling me....
Have a great weekend.
Another way of shipping these is to ship rolled up in a tube. Your sampler is lovely and I hope the creases come out. ChristinaReplyDelete
I prayed for you and the creases Nancy! That is truly lovely. Enjoy chocolate cake.ReplyDelete
Check out this you tube video it might help.ReplyDelete
Thank you...I wish I could use this tip....but I can't soak this piece because it was over dyed floss...and it will run. If it were DMC I could have......so I will pin and stretch...and curse a little.....lolDelete
Crease or not, it is a beautiful sampler. I framed a piece that had a shadow of a crease in it because I couldn't get it out. Five years later: the crease is gone. I think the tension of my pins and lacing helped.ReplyDelete
I agree with the other poster, crease or not it is just beautiful. I am sure you will get it out over time. I do like the idea of using a tube mailer. Will keep that in mind when mailing anything fabric.ReplyDelete
Your designs are just beautiful.
The piece is beautiful, Nancy. I hope the creases come out. Love the new designs, but glad you are taking a quick break. You deserve it. Happy Birthday to your son! I turn 43 in July and my mom is my best friend too. :-)ReplyDelete
Really pretty. Yes, so nice you have a loving familyReplyDelete
I just love all of your new samplers - I am having trouble deciding which one to order first! The sampler with the creases is so beautiful! I bet they will stretch out for you. Cant wait to see the other sampler next week! Have fun designing, but make sure you take some time for just you!ReplyDelete
Oh that is absolutely gorgeous! So, so lovely.
What a lovely sampler, Nancy! Do hope the creases come out! Please pass along happy birthday wishes to your son. Eat a slice of cake for me!ReplyDelete
Have a great weekend!

What a gorgeous sampler!!!! Party on!ReplyDelete
Nancy, I'm really sorry you are upset about the creases in the linen. I sincerely apologize, but the PO only had express mail boxes. I just want you to know that I'm truly sorry and I can't imagine that the creases won't come out. I had this stretched on a scroll frame when I stitched it. I should have found another box to send it back to you. Please accept my apology. It seems like I can't do anything right lately.ReplyDelete
I worked hard on this sampler, spending many hours stitching on it every day to get it back to you quickly. Again, I'm very sorry you are so disappointed.
So pretty! Sometimes a crease will some out if you use Mary Ellen's Best Press spray. I love the Bible verse Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the plans I have for you, declares the. Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.ReplyDelete
Wonderful sampler. Hope you your son had a great birthday!ReplyDelete
Wow!!! LOVE that sampler!!ReplyDelete
Happy Birthday to your son!
What a lovely sampler. It must be wonderful to have such a relationship with your son. I have that kind of relationship with my daughter. It is priceless!ReplyDelete
I love those colors and the peacocks. Homemade chocolate cake for a birthday celebration is the best!ReplyDelete
What a gorgeous sampler!!! Oh i could sure go for a piece of cake right now lol. love AnnetteReplyDelete
Beautiful sampler! Can't wait to see it framed. :DReplyDelete
So pretty. I love samplers :)ReplyDelete
When I have a creased line in my linen, I wrap the piece up in a towel and place it in the freezer for a few hours until its frozen, never fails, line disappears! Beautiful pieces you have created! Happy Birthday to your son!ReplyDelete
The colors in this sampler are gorgeous. I am a huge fan of your threads and they just seem to pop in this sampler.ReplyDelete
Love your new design, Nancy! Especially like the model photo using your hand dyed thread. Just beautiful. Happy Birthday to your son as well!ReplyDelete
Nancy, you are right, the graph picture doesn't do it justice. Lovely to see them stitched.ReplyDelete
I LOVE this design. I just sent an email and ordered this one with your floss, of course. Love your floss.ReplyDelete
Your needles have to be smoking....looking forward to see what else you come out with.
Hope the birthday celebrations went well, chocolate cake....oh, my, wish I was there. You are such a great cook, I know this was great.

Another winner! Though it is not strictly biblical, I like 'more is less if God does not bless' Hugs!ReplyDelete
Another beautiful creation! Wishing your wonderful son another very "Happy Birthday". Hope that he enjoyed your delicious chocolate cake.....my favorite!ReplyDelete
