The complete 1795 Sampler Floss Collection

I think I have completed the 1795 Sampler Floss Collection.....at least for now! I have 78 colors! I just added a few and I am giving two additional skeins free with this set. Free colors only available with  this set.
I have had a couple requests from customers to purchase the whole collection....so I thought I would show you what it looks like when you look at all of it. Actually I sit in the middle of a mountain of floss after I dye this much......I could roll around in it! I just love looking at all the colors.

It is now in containers from floor to ceiling....but it would have been more fun to roll around in it! I have many floss-a-holic friends (you know who you are!) who can identify with this. Don't try to deny it....

So now I can FINALLY get back to  patterns and such. I hope to have some great new things to show you over the next couple weeks so stay tuned.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
Nancy
P.S. I was just asked for a link for ordering this set. You can email me nbelgian@aol.com to buy direct or click on the photo at the right to go to my ebay store.  The set is $156. 1600 yards and about 1/4 the price of some of the other floss companies if I may say so. Thanks for the inquiry.

How about if I let 10 stitchers pick their favorite 5 colors! They will receive 5 skeins, 20 yards each of their favorite colors.

Rules: You must be a follower of my blog and post a comment here. Post on your blog and get 20 MORE ENTRIES! Yes....20! For every friend you send to join my blog you get another 20 entries!

Drawing to be June 15th so we have lots of time for people to enter. After this give-away we will do another with different goodies. We have to keep the stitchers motivated during these summer months and free gifts always help.

New floss colors for the 1795 Collection

I have just wrapped up a very busy 2 months stitching mottoes and making hand carved frames for each. To say that it took up most of my time is an understatement. It takes 12 hours on average to stitch a motto and I was doing 3 a week and then the frames. It truly doesn't leave much time for other projects let alone stitching for me.

We have had a tremendous amount of rain like a lot of you here in the states. It was hard to get a sunny day to do photos but I managed to get some taken this morning before the clouds returned. I have dyed another 15 colors for the 1795 Collection. I did a lot of blue shades since I have had many requests for these. From Powder Blue to Aged Pewter to Blue Green which is one of my favorites. The Berry Wine, Peach/Pink, Faded Green Leaves and Aged Coral.

I have also been dyeing the linen for the faded roses kits I am working on....and dyed the floss, trims, floss rings, buttons, lace....
Then I bought lots of bells in assorted shapes and sizes.....and antiqued them for some Christmas kits I am working on....not too rusty as I don't like rusty items on my linen! We were always taught to take out a straight pin so it wouldn't rust on fabrics.....so I can't understand why anyone would put very rusty items on linen. That's just me....

I will have more photos soon...and a GREAT give-away.....so stay tuned!

Thanks for stopping by.
