I love to play with Christmas decorations!

I must admit....I love to play with Christmas decorations! I am moving slow this year....my trip to the emergency room has showed no problem with the hip socket, but it is a sprained hip. Very painful and I am moving slow, and should heal in 4-6 weeks. Thank goodness I have my grandsons to carry down all the boxes of decorations from the attic for me. We were quite busy yesterday and today I have begun to "play" with decorations.....it takes me a while to set things up.

I bought these carolers a couple years ago and thought they were adorable. Shown here in a couple photos...I will arrange them in another room but wanted to share them with you. They are very well made and have such nice costumes.

I also have a snow globe with an angel in it given to me by a friend years ago. I will find just the right spot for her too.

One of my favorite things has to be my antique rocker/glider horse. I simply dress him up with a big red bow.

The staircase in the family room gets simple garland and lights I have on a timer so they go on late afternoon and turn off at 10PM. I never get tired of looking at Christmas lights....does any one?

A few sprigs of Pine branches and simple red bows do wonders.

The toy cart from last year....I am going to do it a little different this year........

I can hardly wait 'till Christmas!

I must tell you.....I can hardly wait until the Christmas give-aways begin!!! I have been thinking.....pondering....wondering... what would be a great Christmas give-away....MUCH better than those in the past....even better than the Grand give-aways......and I finally figured out what I am going to do! Of course we have to wait until Halloween is over......even though I am digging through boxes of Christmas decorations today as I will be decorating tomorrow. I started skipping Halloween last year and going right to Christmas.
I am moving slow....the grandsons are helping with all the up and down the stairs with all the boxes.....I don't know what I would do without them.

So.......check back November 1st for a great surprise.....I don't think you will be disappointed!!!!! You will be able to enter all through the month of November.

Great way to attach ric rac trim

I got an email from my friend Liz from Sunflower Fields Pattern Co. She has gorgeous designs incorporating fabrics, wool, and she uses my Cluny Ric Rac trim in some of her creations. She shared a picture with me of her latest design...I truly love it and it is stunning as I am sure you will agree. She used some of  my Pastel Pumpkin Cluny trim and she told me that she uses Aleene's OK To Wash It Glue. She just puts a bead of the glue on the seam line and applies the trim. Couldn't get any easier than that! Sometimes it is hard to get a straight stitch line with some applications and I will give this a try. Thanks Liz! Lets give away some of the new Blue with Brown floss!

I was thinking I should share some of this great new color floss ,Blue with Brown, with my friends....so lets give 2 skeins (20 yards each) to 10 stitchers. That will make a nice size project for you.

Another new floss color this week

I love to add tan or light brown to the blue floss. The combination is stunning and I just love how it turns out when stitched.  I have done this with several blues that I have in the Flo Blue collection. For this one I added a medium brown to this blue floss and I am showing  how it looks when I stitched Remember Me from the Ornament Collection R.

I think it helps to show a picture of what it looks liked when it is stitched so you can see the variegation.  I am going to use this as a little insert on a gift for a friend and I thought you might like to see it. I just listed this floss color, along with a half a dozen others this morning, in my ebay store. I am sooooooo busy this time of year preparing for the holidays. It is hard to find time to dye new colors of floss but I do my best. I thought I would share this new color with you.
