Hand dyed linen sale, free floss and free linen!

I finally got more linen dyed last week and have listed it in my ebay store. These are one yard pieces, 36" x 60" for $44. I include a free 20 yard skein of floss with each ebay order. If you order direct I will send 3 skeins of floss, you choice of colors. nbelgian@aol.com.

Colors are slightly mottled, nothing real drastic. Classy linen colors, the same as I use on all my samplers. Cream, Light parchment, Light tan, Medium Parchment, Golden Parchment, Pale sky blue, Slate blue and Rose blush. It's always hard to get a great photo with this camera...colors are prettier than what is showing on my monitor.

I can fold and mail in a padded envelope or a priority mail box to prevent wrinkles. Edges are finished for you and linen is ironed.

Hand dyed linen winner today!

I am pleased to announce today's fabric winners. I wanted to add more pictures of the new fabric colors I have added. These cloudy days don't lend themselves to taking photographs. I will try to take more photos this afternoon if it clears up. I have several more colors in linen, Light Caramel, medium Caramel and Slate Blue. Add that to Champagne, Light and medium Parchment, sage and summer yellow. Some have more mottling than others. I don't do drastic color splotches folks....I like the subtle look of classy fabrics.
If you like Aida I have several colors. I also have some beautiful 18ct fiddler's cloth....a rustic aida. I really like the color variations in it.




The first winner is Kimberly Goins. She said she wanted Aida so I will send her two smaller  pieces. The linen is 1/2 yard and one piece goes to Tricia.

Another Christmas in July give-away, enter now!

This is one of my favorite Christmas decorations, a cute little door/wall hanging. Jingle as Ye Enter, Jingle as Ye Go and it includes the floss and all the bells needed for this cute decoration.

Every time I post this picture it reminds me to take another photo as it looks crooked but it isn't......oh well!

You also get the bonus pattern (including floss and bells) for the adorable ornament with the bird holding the string with the bells in his beak. Instructions are included to make both items.

Happy 4th of July! Give-away winner today!

Happy 4th of July!! A day to celebrate a great country and all the people who have fought for it. The world may have a lot of troubles and we have our fair share.....but I still believe America is a great country.....and will rise above all of this.

The pictures are two of my favorite mottoes. My pattern of God Bless America (and He truly did and we better not forget that) and a copy of an antique motto in my collection, Let us have peace.

I hope all of you are celebrating today with family and loved ones. Some will be remembering loved ones lost while fighting for this great country. Freedom is not free and many have paid the price for it.

New Quaker chart, LOVE and you shall be loved

I wanted to do a companion Quaker to put next to my Be True in Heart. I wanted a similar border and made a few changes. Here is what I came up with:

Now it will be sent to a model stitcher this week. Finished size on 32ct linen is 11.5 x 11.5" and they fit perfect in a standard 12 x 12 frame. Easy and inexpensive framing makes it nice.

As promised, today I am happy to announce the hand dyed fabric (of your choice) give-away. If you follow my blog then you know how much I love to share with fellow stitchers and give back to the stitching community.
I use 32ct Belgian linen for all my sampler projects. I have several colors dyed and I will dye several more for you to choose from by the time I announce the winner. This knee injury has really slowed me down and I will be glad when I am up and running. Literally.
If you don't use linen I have 14 and 18 count aida and fiddlers cloth dyed in beautiful antique looking shades. These are 12"x18" pieces.

Lets start the Christmas in July give-aways, enter now!

Before I do the big hand dyed linen and 1795 complete floss collection give-away (this weekend), I thought I would start the Christmas in July give-aways with a patriotic one for our 4th of July.

Stay tuned for a great give-away!

Thank you for the get well cards and get well wishes. It has been a long 2-1/2 months, believe me. I can carefully walk on this injured knee....carefully. So to say I am moving slow is an understatement. A word of advice....when you are on the mend...and feeling pretty good...don't rush out in the garden and think you are going to work like you used to. A slip with the hammer while hitting a post ( I did hop up and down pretty good when I did that one!) sent my hand back into a heavy duty metal fence post. The golf ball sized knot is still going down....the entire hand is purple....and I am slowly gaining use of it after 5 days. I thought we get smarter as we get older....maybe not.

I did smile when a gal sent me a message and asked if I am going to have another give away soon......of course! Next week  (or sooner if I get everything together) I will announce the goodies that will be given away. LOTS of great stuff. The entire 1795 floss collection, 1600 yards of over-dyed floss. And hand dyed linen...... The hand can't iron just yet......but I can stand on the bad knee so I am half way there! You have to be able to laugh as you get older....that's for sure.

So stay tuned....and if I can keep from getting another injury (they say things come in threes and I pray they don't!) and we will have a great Christmas in July give away.

I am so lucky...and proud....to have  loving son who fusses over me and tells me how much he appreciates and loves me. We are best friends.....and that is the best part of it all.

How quickly things can change.........

How quickly things can change...........busy one minute and in an instant an injury can change everything. I hurt my knee several weeks ago.....I mean I REALLY hurt my knee. I couldn't even bend my knee to get into the car to go to the emergency room. So.......I have done nothing else but take care of this knee. I have had injuries before and lots of physical therapy. I am working with it daily and can now bend it half way and I am pleased with the results. Yes I will still see a doctor as this knee has been giving me grief for a while. I guess I don't want to hear the words "knee replacement" just yet.

I have not done anything work related for weeks. But my son is working on new frames for my motto samplers.  We have been making frames for almost 10 years now and I wanted to add this one with fretwork along the sides.

Have I been up to anything else? No..........it's amazing that you can't think of much to do when you are in a lot of pain. And it makes you stop and think about what is really important to you in life. My family. Plain and simple. I plan on spending less time on work and a lot more time with my family when I am up and around again.

Thank you for checking in on me with the inactivity on the blog......the regulars knew there was something wrong but I promise to be up and around again real soon and have some new things to post. I dropped the new variegated floss and linen when I hurt my knee but I will get back to it soon.

I hope you are enjoying spring.....stitching projects.....and most of all, time with your families.

Happy Easter!

I hope all of you have a wonderful day and hopefully surrounded by your loved ones. We have my son and his boys with us and each holiday we spend together is special. Lots of quality time together which is the most important part. While the boys are not little anymore.....they still helped color the eggs yesterday and it was a lot of fun. My son was the one who said he was not too old (43) to color eggs! We had a great day and these guys are truly the joy in my life.
