Forget Me Not Sampler Completed

My Forget Me Not Sampler is finished and I will be taking more photos and printing charts on Monday. Charted for DMC but chart is available with my over dyed floss as shown in the photo or just the chart alone.
I need to frame this.....It's going to take a lot of stretching as ironing wouldn't take out the creases....it was mailed back to me in a flat envelope and folded. You can imagine how flat the envelope was smashed by the time I got it. These crease lines are so hard to remove when you can't use steam on over dyed floss...that's why I always mail in a small box. Wish me luck on this one.

I am working on the sampler pattern with the delicate leaf border...I am pleased with how it is coming along. I have to decide on a verse to use...I have quite a few verses I have found over the years and I am always looking for others. Do you have a unique verse you would like see on a pattern? I would love to see any you might have.

I need to take a break and go bake a birthday cake for my son who will be 43 tomorrow....where did the time go! My son is the joy in my life....and a Mother couldn't ask for a more caring and loving son. We are the best of friends....I love to spend time with him and his sons....all great guys if I may say so and I am so lucky to have them. Am I proud or what?!!

Thanks for stopping by....the chocolate cake is calling me....
Have a great weekend.
Nancy

  1. Another way of shipping these is to ship rolled up in a tube. Your sampler is lovely and I hope the creases come out. Christina

    1. Thank you...I wish I could use this tip....but I can't soak this piece because it was over dyed floss...and it will run. If it were DMC I could have......so I will pin and stretch...and curse a little.....lol

  4. Crease or not, it is a beautiful sampler. I framed a piece that had a shadow of a crease in it because I couldn't get it out. Five years later: the crease is gone. I think the tension of my pins and lacing helped.

  5. I agree with the other poster, crease or not it is just beautiful. I am sure you will get it out over time. I do like the idea of using a tube mailer. Will keep that in mind when mailing anything fabric.
    Your designs are just beautiful.

  12. Nancy, I'm really sorry you are upset about the creases in the linen. I sincerely apologize, but the PO only had express mail boxes. I just want you to know that I'm truly sorry and I can't imagine that the creases won't come out. I had this stretched on a scroll frame when I stitched it. I should have found another box to send it back to you. Please accept my apology. It seems like I can't do anything right lately.
I worked hard on this sampler, spending many hours stitching on it every day to get it back to you quickly. Again, I'm very sorry you are so disappointed.

  13. So pretty! Sometimes a crease will some out if you use Mary Ellen's Best Press spray. I love the Bible verse Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the plans I have for you, declares the. Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

  20. When I have a creased line in my linen, I wrap the piece up in a towel and place it in the freezer for a few hours until its frozen, never fails, line disappears! Beautiful pieces you have created! Happy Birthday to your son!
