Club Invoices for February

The club invoices are scheduled to go out on the 1st and 2nd of each month. I don't know why Paypal sends a dozen or so on the 30th of the month.....I have asked them and I get no answers. So remember that they are not due until the 1st.....pay when it is convenient for you. I apologize for Paypal....again! LOL

UPDATE to shipping rate increase

Thank you for the great response to the previous post regarding the postal rate increase. Over 200 of you responded and said to ship your floss in poly envelopes instead of boxes.

I have decided to ship all of the club shipments this way and will no longer ship in boxes. There was never a charge for these gift boxes. I will still have gift sets available in the  gift boxes. AND if you still want your floss in these gift boxes for the monthly club I will do that for you. Please send me an email if you want that option.

It's nice working together to keep the costs down for you. I do all I can to help!

Shipping rate increase....PLEASE READ

As you all know, there was a postal rate increase today. The first class rate for packages increased 11.9%.  BIG increase. If you currently get the 6 skein package it was $14.99 with postage. Good thing I give a free skein with the club shipments. The new rate is $15.75. But it gets more complicated because they change the rate depending on what zone it ships to. The father you are the more the increase. And any postal discounts I have I will pass on to you.

Lets get creative with the packing. Because their rates stay the same for a few ounces....some packages will require the increase. Can't get around it. BUT.....if I send linen in a poly envelope it might saves a few ounces for the cardboard box. But if you get linen and a boxed set it will require the box unless we omit the little gift box.....

If you get a box of 12 skeins I don't charge for the little gift box. I could send them in a zip bag (some customers always get them that way as they don't use the boxes).....and then they could be shipped in a poly bag and not the cardboard box. Please send me an email if this option will work for you. nbelgian@aol.com.

I will do all I can to help.

This month each package will be weighed and the increase applied. Rather than go in and try to change 500 invoices I will wait and weigh each order and apply the increase next month to your invoice. It will make it easier. I will still need to change 500 invoices but I will know the exact amount to add. A paperwork nightmare!

Ebay has sent me three notices regarding the increase as it will affect sales. One skein of floss will be $3.94 postage! But 12 skeins ships for the same price so that helps. Online sales are going to take a big hit for sure.

Thank you for working with me on the packing and shipping rates.

Necessaires and Notions Give-away, enter now!

Necessaires and Notions.....I love the sound of that.....lots of goodies to give-away to one lucky winner. A hand made necessaire, complete with a little wool felt button/charm bag filled with assorted buttons and 4 sewing charms and my little open end safety pin closure, wool felt needle pages with a fancy pin, assorted cluny lace trims and hand dyed cotton tape for needlebooks. A beautiful mother of pearl heart is sewn on as the divider for the trims on one side. I included a little wood spool with 2 yards of chenille trim. Tied with hand dyed vintage rayon seam ribbon.
These make a wonderful gift.

Necessaire....the French drop the y when they pronounce it....I leave the Y and pronounce it necessary. That's just the way I like to say it.

This one is an antique brown floral. Finished and complete as shown.  I do not sell kits. I simply make them for gals who don't like to do finishing.

New Necessaires and Notions for 2019!

                                    Happy New Year!
A new year....a fresh start.....lots of goodies to make! I thought I would make some necessaires again this year since they were so popular in previous years. A hand made little bundle of stitching goodies. Trims, sewing charms, hand dyed buttons, etc.  Maybe I will add a small cross stitch pattern with each one. I will start working on these after all the club shipments go out and show you one around the 15th...or sooner.....and of course I will give one away. I was thinking of doing a different fabric each month and giving one away each month for a while. If all goes well I might do this all of 2019. We will see. I also have a lot of gorgeous cluny lace I want to start dyeing for these projects. Top quality lace I bought from a business that used them in his designs and wanted to sell off his inventory. I bought almost 100 rolls of this lace and I really want to start using it in some kits

These are all hand made by me. I don't know if I will do kits for these....just the hand made ones for now. They make great gifts.
Then I might do other hand made items and kits for you to make at a later date. So much to do in 2019!

I bought a dozen bolts of some beautiful fabrics to start making these little treasures. I will show each necessaire as they are finished. I have a lot of new followers that have not seen them and you are in for a real treat.

I keep saying I am going to take a few days off to do work on my own projects.....but then I start thinking of goodies I want to do for give-aways and then the projects get put on a back burner. I love to do silk ribbon embroidery flowers....petite flowers.....not huge designs. I have boxes of silk ribbons I bought last year and one of these days I will take time for a "play day"! I have wanted to use some of these for a thimble case and I could easily finish that in a day.

So here's to a great start of a new year.....wishing all of you the best for 2019. May you find your heart's desire!
