It's almost that time of year here in the states......our traditional Thanksgiving on the 4th Thursday in November. The date this year is the 26th and I am having my usual Be Ye Thankful give-away to celebrate. Since the original day was a celebration of the harvest....I can say this is a harvest of friends! And I am very thankful for each and every one of you.
I thought I would put together a nice selection of goodies to surprise one lucky winner. So you will have to wait and see what it is! These surprises usually have a value of $50 or more as I like to include a nice selection. You can suggest what you would like...floss, fabric (linen or aida), charts, motto kit, etc.....but first you have to tell me what you are thankful for!
I am always thankful for many things....my wonderful family that surrounds me.....the blessings I have received through this business...and the friends and followers I have met which is the best part of this business. From all over the world I have met the nicest group of people that I enjoy chatting and sharing with.
The give-away will be on the 22nd of November as I will be very busy on the holiday.

He is cancer free right now, but still dealing with some after effects of his treatments. BUT - he is still alive! So, how can we not be thankful?

DeleteThere is so much I am thankful for. I was born with a rare progressive birth defect but was blessed to be born into a family that always treated it more like an inconvenience in life instead of a life threatening pity party. I have survived it and all the boring things that came with it such as having my leg amputated three times at different levels, 60 plus operations, Hep C from transfusions which is now cured!!! I've fought cancer and won. This year I've battled month after month of being in the hospital for everything from a collapsed lung ( 3 different times) to catching and surviving hospital acquired pneumonia that tried to kill me.
ReplyDeleteI'm finally starting to feel like a human again and am so thankful that my family has been there for me and that I can honestly say that I've had an amazing life so far no matter how many little detours there have been. I'm thankful for being allowed this wonderful life that has been filled with the most amazing adventures and special people who have come thru it and are here now.
What an amazing person you are to rise above all that you have been through with such a positive attitude! God certainly blessed you with the ability to see the good things in this world. May He continue to bless you over and over. Thank you for sharing with us. It is an honor to have you here.
DeleteI am so grateful for Jesus, family, friends and church. I am thankful for beauty in the. world, both in nature and that created by artists, designers, and authors. I am grateful for my eyesight.Oh, and my new kitten.

This world fulfills my life and my thoughts every day because I don't have kids, which I'm not very thankful of, actually.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Nancy, when I think of kindness and generousity you're at the top.

DeleteAnother beautiful giveaway - how lovely you are!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have a Tnamksgiving Day or any equivalent, here in the UK - and more's the pity. In the rush and hurry of life today, so many people don't seem to have time to THINK, let alone be grateful for what they have.
All that stopped quite suddenly for me several years ago when I came close to losing my eyesight. It didn't happen, Thank the good Lord.
So yes, to be thankful and grateful for what you have is a very good thing.
Take care,
Lynda.
Thank you for sharing Lynda and thank the Lord for your eyesight. May He continue too bless you!

ReplyDeleteI am so thankful for my two step-daughters and three grandsons. I was never able to have children of my own, although I did have one miscarriage (so one baby in heaven). When my first marriage fell apart and I started dating again, I met a wonderful man who had two daughters. When we married, the girls were 18 and 21, so I didn't get to help raise them, but they since have married and have 3 little boys between them. I am so thankful to get to be Nannie to those precious little boys! Even my hubby's ex-wife and her family accept me as part of the family and a grandmother to the boys! I had wonderful grandparents growing up and it hurt so much knowing I would never have that relationship with grandchildren of my own, and now, lo and behold, I do! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing a beautiful story. You are blessed in many ways.
DeleteThank you for being so generous, Nancy! I am so thankful for my family, for their support and love. I'm thankful for my amazing husband, who's been my rock through this pregnancy. Above all, I'm incredibly thankful for my ability to carry this baby and experience this blessing!

ReplyDeleteI am thankful for my two wonderful children, for the love they give every day. I am thankful for the wee garden, apple and pear trees in the back yard. And lastly I am thankful for another year with few medical complications.
These are all posted on Facebook, too!

ReplyDeleteOh my Nancy.....this comes at a time when we've just received some really bad news - my cousin has been diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer......3 weeks is what they've given her.....so the first thought that sprang mind is being thankful for is my health and the health of my loved ones. I am thankful that I have both my parents alive and that we've been able to get them to move to our home to be close. I am thankful that in this poor economy we have more than many. I could ramble on.....but I guess I can sum it all up with....I am thankful to have this moment
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear of the bad news and I am sure that all of us send prayers for her and your family. Yes....we have to be thankful for the moment some times. Sending love and prayers.

But God certainly blessed us when He gave her to us. She makes every day a joyful adventure. I never knew true joy until I held her.
ReplyDeleteIt;s so hard to pick just one thing I am thankful for....so it will have to be a few things.....first my husband.....he's my world. My daughter, son in law and 2 grandsons...and my health. I do have allot of health problems...but so many of so much worse....I'm glad I'm as healthy as I am. One more things...I have one very best friend....I am very thankful for her too.
