I dyed another new dark variegated blue and I thought it would look perfect for peacocks...so I did a first draft of these peacocks....titled Love at First Sight. I used the darker part of the blue floss and selected this rich chocolate brown to compliment it. I love this color combination and stitched it on 32ct natural linen. I will add a border on the sides...and a few extras and have it finished in a couple days and the chart available later in the week. I am going to sell this chart with my floss to make it easier for stitchers. Of course we will have a give-away when the chart is finished....don't we always??
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week.

Wow! That is truly gorgeous Nancy. Just wonderful. What a success. Have a super day. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy, I love that design so much! My husband and I visit a beautiful garden just a few miles from where we live and they have peacocks walking around. My husband always takes crackers to feed them. They eat right out of his hand. I have got to stitch this for him.
ReplyDeleteHi Phyllis, I used to raise peacocks when I lived in Ohio. They are gorgeous birds. If you stitch this for you and your husband you should put each of your initials on either side of the heart....or even names. That would be adorable!
DeleteOh Nancy, I love this pattern. So pretty, and the floss looks great! Vera
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful colour of blue...can't wait to see the pattern complete,, loving it so far..

ReplyDeleteThe new colors are so vibrant...peacocks were the perfect subject! I like your "initial" suggestion to Phyllis. This would also be a nice "banner" for a wedding sampler...

My Time Stitching
Beautiful color combination, I've always love blues and browns together. Dark blue and rich chocolate for a colonial feel, a pale silvery blue-green with milk chocolate for a spa feel, I could go on forever! The peacocks look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteLove those peacocks!! Your choice of floss colours for this is gorgeous!
