A Stitching Marathon Completed

Christmas is always a busy time of the year around here with all the give-aways and all the last minute motto orders. A gentleman asked me to stitch and frame this motto as he wants to give it to his Mother for Christmas (what a guy!). So I quickly, 12 hours later, completed No Place Like Home. This is definitely my hardest motto to stitch....and I keep saying these arthritic hands are never going to stitch this one again(I have stitched it 9 times)....never say never....
I have the antique motto that I fashioned this reproduction from.....but the newly stitched ones look almost as good as the antiques. And there is no place like home!

Thanks for stopping by. Back to work........
Nancy

    1. The large letters are the satin stitch. If it was cross stitches I could not have done it that quickly. And the other stitches are half cross stitches. Still, the motto is 8-1/2" X 21".....a large project.

    1. My hands are so hot with inflammation all the time from the Rheumatoid Arthritis....they feel like they are on fire! I do put them in cold water to cool them off after stitching this much.
