I bought these carolers a couple years ago and thought they were adorable. Shown here in a couple photos...I will arrange them in another room but wanted to share them with you. They are very well made and have such nice costumes.
I also have a snow globe with an angel in it given to me by a friend years ago. I will find just the right spot for her too.
One of my favorite things has to be my antique rocker/glider horse. I simply dress him up with a big red bow.
The staircase in the family room gets simple garland and lights I have on a timer so they go on late afternoon and turn off at 10PM. I never get tired of looking at Christmas lights....does any one?
A few sprigs of Pine branches and simple red bows do wonders.
The toy cart from last year....I am going to do it a little different this year........
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a safe and Happy Halloween....and be sure to stop back tomorrow for the details of the Christmas give-away.
Nancy
Lovely : )
ReplyDeleteOoh, this motivates me to get the Halloween stuff put away and get the Christmas stuff out! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHere in NY, Halloween has been postponed until Saturday night due to the effects of Hurricane Sandy. That means I'll have to keep my Halloween decos up until then. I do have a few T'giving things to put out, but your photos make me want to go right into Christmas, too! Maybe I'll sneak a few things in here and there.....
ReplyDeleteLove the toy cart and the antique horse!! How fun that toy cart must be to decorate.... I've looked for one at antique places I've been to, but when I do find one I like, it's too expensive for my pocketbook!! I look forward to seeing how you decorate it this year.... Everything is just lovely!
Ohh this is fascinating to see how other people decorate - I rarely do any seasonal decorating - the only Christams decoartion I do is a advent wreath with 4 candles on it. That's more than I do for any other season. And I will make the wreath the saturday before the 1st advent.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful jewelry! Real Christmas :)
ReplyDeleteWow!! No wonder you start so early Nancy! Fantastic displays. Just beautiful.

Hope the healing comes fast--you have LOTS to do! I thought that was your shoppe (if you even have one!) Such a lot of antique fixtures throughout, even in the display stand! Wow! LOVE the antique rocking horse--what a beauty! Thanks for sharing! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThe only shop I have is ebay.....my home is filled with my antique collection....my family teases me for being so eccentric and not wanting "new" things around me. I could live in a general store! Really! I may do that yet........
DeleteYou have been successfully very busy in-spite of how your feeling. That rocking horse truly ROCKS!! Love it. Thank goodness for your helpers. Thank you for sharing. Hope you feel better soon.

ReplyDeleteWow...thank you so very much for sharing a bit of you and your home with us....Absolutely gorgeous!! And what wonderful treasures you have!! But gotta say, that horsey is my fave of all. How I wish I had one (and the space to display one!) Lucky you to have grands who are willing to help you...I have taken to "hauling out" less year after year as I can't keep up with everything and my "boys" (Hubby/son...no grands yet) really don't seem to miss it. Makes ME sad though.... Hope you'll share more of "you" with us.... Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
ReplyDeletePS - Wishing you a speedy recovery... Ouch - a sprained hip? Yikes....That makes me wince in all the wrong places...Robin

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous!! This is definitely getting me in the mood for the holidays!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about your hip! I hope you're feeling better. Your decorations are gorgeous. I used to sell Longaberger baskets & one year went to another consultant's Christmas party. She had carolers in every room, with different themes. SO beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love your pictures. They are so inspiring. The carollers are all wrapped up against the cold but are still singing their little hearts out :-)
ReplyDeleteAngela
I think you are Mrs. Claus herself because you have such beautiful decorations. Santa is spoiling you hihihi ... LOVE that rocking horse !
